About the Event
The event was held on March 14th, 2022, in the auditorium of School of Chemical and Materials Engineering (SCME), NUST.
The aim of CoMSID-2022 was to give students, academics, and business partners a forum to have scholarly discussions and find workable solutions to problems while strengthening the relationships and interactions between academia and business.
Keynote speakers and industry experts from internationally well-known organizations were invited to address diverse topics such as advances in Nanotechnology and sustainable materials development. The occasion proposed a unique chance to enhance knowledge on nanomaterials, energy materials, synthetic biomaterials, green nanomaterials, and their associated applications.

WEmpower Pakistan
WEmpower Pakistan is a company, founded by a group of young Pakistani researchers that supports, encourages, and enables researchers to pursue education and careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Our aim is to build a strong consortium in Pakistan comprising of the public and private sector, in order to develop a professional training resource for and by young scientists.
Event Highlights
Opening ceremony on the CoMSID 22 held at SCME, NUST on March 14, 2022. The inaugural started with Tilawat-e-Quran and Opening remarks by Principal SCME Prof. Dr. Amir Azam Khan.
Dr. Hassina Tabassum – CEO WEmpower Pakistan also delivered her opening remarks. The ceremony included special talks by Guest of honor Prof. Dr. Mohammad Mujahid Rector Pak-Austria Fachhochschule and Chief Guest VC Abbottabad university, Prof. Dr. Tahir Irfan Khan.
Our speakers from the Pakistan chapter, Prof. Dr. Hussnain Janjua from NUST and Dr. Saadat MAJEED from BZU. Dr. Janjua discussed Biogenic Nanomaterial’s for their Applications in Pharmaceutical and Food Industry. Dr. Majeed talked about Nano-Bio Sensors: From Device Development to Applications.
